Description
Gallium is a metalloid element, with the element symbol Ga, belonging to the VIA group in the periodic table, atomic number 31, atomic mass 69.723. Gallium has a melting point of 29.78 °C (85.6 °F) and a boiling point of 2,403 °C (4,357 °F). Gallium (Ga), chemical element, metal of main Group 13 (IIIa, or boron group) of the periodic table. It liquefies just above room temperature.
High purity (6N/99.9999%) gallium is mainly used to prepare Gallium(II) Telluride, solar cells, MBE, dopant of monocrystal silicon, etc.
